Political Media Empire: Addendum
PressThink: Sinclair Broadcast Group: What Are They Doing in the Middle of Our Election?
"Let's encourage rich, loud, messy engagement with politics" is the implicit message in a challenge to have had Sinclair's Hyman debate Kerry. Is it as simple as that? It sounds good to me, at least as a start, before what must be a more complete strategy of non-phony deregulation (don't ask me, though). If Sinclair' thinks it can stand by ignoring the traditional rules of good business (don't alienate the viewing public, etc), let it, and let others join in the debate who so wish to.
I should stop writing, really.
